Kenya Introduces ‘Karibu Business Centers’ to Boost Ease of Doing Business
Kenya has unveiled four Karibu Business Centers nationwide, offering streamlined interactions with government agencies regarding investments, industry, and trade, ensuring prompt resolution of queries and issues.
These centers cater to aspiring entrepreneurs and industrialists seeking to expand or establish businesses in Kenya. They provide advisory services on investment, manufacturing, trade policies, and more to entrepreneurs, investors, and traders.
You can find these services in Kisumu (at KIRDI’s western office), Eldoret (at KEBS North Rift Office), Mombasa (at KEBS Plaza), and Kariobangi South.
Rebecca Miano, Cabinet Secretary for Trade and Industrialization, emphasized the challenges faced by entrepreneurs, investors, MSIs, and traders in navigating Kenya’s complex business regulations and procedures. The Karibu Business Centers serve as a one-stop shop to address these challenges and promote a vibrant industrial and investment landscape.
Miano announced plans to establish a Karibu Business Centre in Nyeri County, operational soon at the KEBS offices, Outspan Plaza. Additionally, seven physical walk-in Karibu Business Centers will be gradually introduced across the nation, with a call for collaboration from development partners to facilitate this expansion.
